Née à Londres, elle vit à Genève.  Formation à la Royal Ballet School, London.  Lucy Nightingale débute en 1987 au Ballet de Vichy, sous la direction de Jorge Donn et Kevin Haigen.  Elle rejoint le Béjart Ballet Lausanne en 1989, par la suite elle participe à plusieurs créations de la compagnie Linga, avant de rejoindre en 1993 le Ballet du Stadttheater de Berne.  Au Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève en 1996, elle danse dans les ballets de William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Twyla Tharp, Amanda Miller, Lionel Hoche, Pascal Riout et Michel Kelemenis.  Elle travaille désormais en tant qu’artiste indépendante, entre autres avec les chorégraphes, Etienne Frey, Philippe Olza, Carlotta Sagna, Laura Tanner.  Professeur pour plusieurs compagnies dont, Alias, Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève, Ballet Junior et Nomades.  Elle travaille ce moment pour les écoles, Conservatoire populaire de Genève, Dance Area et l'école de Genève .

Born in London,she now lives in Geneva, Switzerland.  Trained as a gymnast until the age of 14 she decided to divert her talent to dancing, being accepted to the Royal Ballet School.  Lucy Nightingale started her career in 1987 with Jorge Donn and Kevin Haigen with the Ballet de Vichy, leading to a contract with Ballet Bejart, Lausanne in 1989.  She then participated in many creations with the company Linga before joining the Stadtheatre of Berne, in 1993, as a soloist.  In 1996, in the Ballet of The Grand Theatre of Geneva, she danced ballets from William Forsythe, Ohad Nahrin, Twyla Tharp, Amanda Miller, Lionel Hiche, Pascal Riout and Michel Keleminis.  Deciding to continue as an independent artiste she worked with Etienne Frey, Phillipe Olza, Carlotta Sagna and Laura Tanner.  Currently Lucy is a teacher with l'Ecole of Geneva, Conservatoire Populaire of Geneva, Dance Area, Alias company and the Ballet of The Grand Theatre of Geneva.
